Dreadful time; Cleaning and selling the caravan

G'day mates,

Well, this is it! It's time for the hardest part, unpack, cleaning and at last selling our little house on wheels.

Can you imagine how much rubbish people can gather in ten years time? It was really amazing what came out of that little caravan. Luckily we could do all these things at my aunties home but that house is not big as well so all our stuff was packed everywhere.

We started with removing my blog...... 😢😢

We had several washing baskets; one for the op shop, one for throw away stuff, one for sending to The Netherlands, one for still keeping.

Paperwork had to be sorted out as well......

stuff everywhere....

It wasn't only a dreadful time, we also had very good times; in between we of course also had to eat and now we had room enough to do some decent cooking...

In the outside bar we had a nice setup for our BBQ and electric cooking plate and hubby could make his own beer again, you can see it brewing behind is back....

And I had my birthday so I got spoiled as well with bubbles......

having a nice visitor on my birthday....

 a great dinner!

and a nice bottle of wine.....

OK, back to the caravan....

And then Mitch, he was our travel mate for all these years and we didn't know what to do with him, he has been sitting in all washing baskets, except of course the throwing away one. Then I asked my friends on Facebook for help and most people said we should take him with us to The Netherlands....

and now he is already on its way, he might be there earlier then we!

it goes on and on, the unpacking.....

and the cleaning.....
I did the inside of the cleaning.....

and Fred did the outside.....
You could see the caravan was getting whiter and whiter...

After four weeks, YES you read it well, it took four weeks to get the job done, he is ready for selling so I made some pictures, just a few on my blog.....

The caravan was ready to use as we left a lot of essentials in it......

Especially things you need for free camp!

We advertised on Facebook in several groups, on marketplace and Gumtree. Next day we had 5 couples who were interested and the third couple bought it!

Our little house on wheels was given a name immediately and then I knew it would be in good hands, it's a she now by the way and her name is; Jolene!

We had to organise a gas certificate and two safety certificates which we did during the week and Jolene was picked up a week later....

The weekend they would pick up Jolene was very bad weather, it was pouring with rain, the sky and I were crying.....

There she goes....

I was inconsolable for a few hours, heartbroken, grief stricken, name it all.
And now that I'm writing this I have to cry again!

And that wasn't all, in the mean time we sold out of the car;

Battery Charger

The UHF radio

Our Freezer Waeco

Fred's hobby but.... most probably he brewed enough for us to last till we leave this beautiful Country...

And last but not least, our pride and joy;

Our Baby Q

And every time someone picks up what we sold it hurts.....

Lets look at it the other way now and be positive;

A lot of people are happy we are coming back!

The people who bought our little house on wheels are very happy with it!
And for us a beautiful home is waiting!

With the money we've got from all the stuff we sold, we are now having a holiday in New Zealand!!
(so you can expect more adventures in the near future)

Hubby doesn't have to brew anymore as in The Netherlands, our favourite Belgian Beer is waiting for us again....

My tears are gone, my positive end helped!

I won't be back before Christmas dear fans and even maybe not this year.
 There is just one more story to come about the surrounding on the Gold Coast before I go to New Zealand and believe me, you will enjoy that as the land is stunning!
(of course the Gold Coast as well 😊😊)

For now Fred and I say;

Cheers!
