Blue Mountains; Scenic world; SCREAMING our heads off!!

G'day Mates,

Today we are going to the Blue Mountains, to the Scenic world. YEH!!

There are three different attractions and you can walk to all three, they are all connected via a nice walkway and with a ticket for a day, you can go in every attraction as much as you like. This is the first time since long that I found something payable as a tourist attraction because our ticket was the most expensive as it was on a Sunday and it was only $43.00 p/p. Really worth what you get for it!

Because of our moving the caravan and tent first, we were a bit late what was a pity as you really can spend a whole day there. There are also great walks to do and Katoemba is a very nice town which we unfortunately had to skip.

Anyway, when we arrived we started with the Cable-car; it was quite busy but still I could make a nice shot of the Three Sisters....

From the cable car we walked through the rain forest on the boardwalk, to the Scenic Railway; with a thrill of a 52 degree incline (128% incline) riding the steepest Railway in the world…...Just wait and see for yourself….

But first the walk, when we were there, there was an exhibition of sculptures between the trees, it wasn't finished yet so we haven't seen every thing but what was already there, was fascinating…

Its Scenic Railway time, first some info;

Custom designed carriages allow passengers to choose their own adventure like never before, adjusting their seated position up to 20 degrees! Choose an adventurous ‘Cliffhanger’ ride at a steep 64 degree incline, or for those seeking a relaxed journey select the ‘Laid Back’ option. Of course, loyal fans can still ride the ‘Original’ at 52 degrees (128% incline).
The Railway experience descends 310 metres through a cliff-side tunnel, emerging into ancient rainforest at the Jamison Valley floor. Operating since 1945, the Scenic Railway has thrilled 25 million passengers – this is the fifth generation train to ride the tracks since the Hammon family opened the attraction

The Station below, we started here so we went up and you can't see where you go because we were going backwards !

The upper station, here you go down.....

Movie time; TURN DOWN your sound as we are screaming our heads off!!

And Then; The Scenic Skyway...

First some info;

Suspended 270 metres above ancient ravines, the Skyway provides a unique thrill as breathtaking views are revealed beneath your feet through the electro-glass cabin floor. For the less adventurous, seating and solid flooring is also available!

With 360° views, the 720 metre journey provides the best views of Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters, and Jamison Valley stretching to the horizon.

Selfie in the mirror....

Amazing view...

And I wasn't even scared on the glass floor....

We did a small walk to a point of better view on the three sisters when we saw this gruesome sight.....
Where is the child?? The pram was right in front of the abyss...

Beautiful view again.....Nice actors as well!

Cannot get enough of the Blue Mountains

Some info from the Internet;

The Blue Mountains, given that name due to the blue haze that hovers above them, is an area renowned for spectacular scenery, plant and wildlife and densely populated forests of oil bearing Eucalyptus trees. Thus, it is commonly believed that the blue haze blanketing the mountains is created by the atmosphere whereby dispersed droplets of Eucalypt oil combine with dust particles and water vapour to scatter refracted rays of light which are largely blue in colour.

But it's a bit of a guess...

I do hope you liked this Blue Mountains adventure....

Next; on our way to the Gold Coast!!

Cheers!
