Liffey and Westmorland Falls, just amazing

G'day Mates,

Can you imagine, I'm still talking about Tassie, look on the map; it's that Island below Melbourne, and in the mean time we already are in Cairns; on the map North-East....that's an approx. 3800 k's drive !

How come?? Because we have had our daughter (Sheila) and son (Danny) on holidays and we travelled with Sheila from Sydney to The Gold Coast and with Danny from the Gold Coast to Cairns. He is leaving us this Saturday.....😔.

This blog is all about; Falls and NO, it is not boring, it's just amazing. I will spoil you with a Movie of the Liffey Falls and the walk from the falls back to the car-park and that's all rainforest. It's a pity there is no smell in the movie as a rainforest smells incredible.

OK, here we go, on our way to Liffey Falls.......

A nature walk leads from a picnic area near the car park down through forests of towering eucalyptus and tree ferns to the falls.

A number of smaller falls are passed along the way.

Curious??? Watch the Movie;

Did you like it? Beautiful hey??

Closer to our house sit are Westmoreland Falls....
Also here you walk through rainforest and everything is so green.....

Due to the humidity there is a lot different fungi...

The track, which offers an easy 2 hour return walk, is largely unknown, to be enjoyed by the mildly adventurous who don’t mind a little rough going at times.

I have seen pictures of these falls with much more water in them, so that was a bit a pity but only the walk was worth going!

I must admit the Fall looks very similar to the Liffey one...

Minding his own business.....

Fungi covered with moss

Totally different is our trip to the Tamar River area. Along the river are a lot wineries to find.....

and some great look outs....

We even passed a little Swiss village called; Grindelwald....

Look what wikipedia says about Grindelwald;

Grindelwald is a small town just north of Launceston, developed in the style of a Swiss village by a Dutch immigrant to Tasmania Roelf Vos after he sold his "Roelf Vos" supermarket chain to Woolworths

I know it's a short blog but I'm still short in time (you now know why).
Next few weeks I get more time and then I will publish more regularly. There is a lot to come, still some from Tassie and of course our trip to the North.

AND; I have an announcement to make, not yet but soon!
Curious?? Keep reading my Blog.

See you then!
Cheers
