This is the Lavender Farm in Emu Bay;
We also have explored the South Coast and this f.i. is Vivonne Bay which is one of Australia's best beaches....
It is really beautiful but also here, no shadow!
Here near the jetty you can found safe swimming spots.
Vivonne Bay is the only safe harbour on the South Coast of the island and is the base for crayfishing boats from November to May....
From Vivonne Bay we drove to Seal Bay, passing Little Sahara were you can go sand boarding on the white sand dunes. We didn't go there as we have been doing that once in Peru, and I can tell you ; pfff , its exhausting!! No we're leaving that for the younger people.
Right, this is Seal Bay where you can find: Seals of course haha...
From the Outlook point, beautiful views take your breath away.....
You can see the sea lions already but they're still a bit far so we ....
walk over the board walk, down further to the beach.....
here in the dunes lays a baby Whale skeleton....
We only walked the board walk but you can also go with a guide and then you can really come close by...
But also from this platform you can observe the sea lions swim, play and dose on the beach. Their breeding season last up to six months so we also spotted some young pups playing in the surf or laying with their mothers nurturing them.
A little bit closer to home, in Kingscote, we have been to the winery; Bay of Shoals and had a few tastings of some award-winning wines in their popular Pelican glasses.
We couldn't chose between two wines so we went outside with two glasses of wine, one of the favourite for Fred and the other for me and so we zipped from each others glasses to make a choice...
And as you can see we ended up by buying both and as extra a sparkling red and two of the Pelican glasses!
I hope you enjoyed these little trips again!!
Cheers!
Lovely pics again, Tamske !
