Welcome to Kangaroo Island

G'day Mates!

First of all;

Before telling you what we do during the day around here I first show you our trip on the ferry, our camping spot on the farm with the view and take you to our first trip on the Island; Emu Bay. I've got three movies this time so I hope you will enjoy it all guys.

Fortunately, despite the forecast which told us there would be a lot of wind and rough sea, the sea was nice and smooth so we didn't need the tablets against seasickness Elaine had given us. I hope we don't need them on our way back either pfff.

Kangaroo Island in the distance...

Arrival at Penneshaw....

Now we have to drive approx. 65 k's to the farm, of which, what we didn't know, approx. 17 dirt road from the sealed Hog Bay Rd to the farm. Happy we are with our 4WD because the last hill to the farm couldn't be taken with the ford!!

Anyhow this is our spot for the few coming weeks;

1rst movie;

On 13th of December we had our 29th wedding-anniversary

and we got a lovely, superb bottle of wine from the farm owners! By the way, their names are David and Lorraine, that's nicer to wright about.

And we have visited Emu Bay, its the only beach were you are allowed to drive on with your car, you'll see that later.....

fishermen feeding the Pelicans with what they cut off the fish....

And now our first experience with the car in 4 wheel drive, look how beautiful the beach is. David and Lorraine also train race horses and so they go often to this beach to have a good run with the horses....

OK mates, that's it for now;

Kangaroo Island to be continued....

Cheers!
