Adelaide

G'day Mates,

Adelaide is a nice city, of course a city is a city but Adelaide is not as big as f.i. Melbourne or Sydney, still has a decent size but just big enough to explore comfortable. I assumed you're not interested in shops and other buildings (for great building you have to wait till we are in the Netherlands, of course the history of such things is much older and interesting, no offence to Australia but its a fact) so the only thing I have for you today is a bike ride.

We have done a certain part several times; from the caravan park to the city and back but now I talk about; caravan park, city, beach, along the beach to Glenelg en via city back to the caravan park. Altogether it was 52 k's! Crikey, did we feel our bum afterwards!!

OK lets go;

The whole track to the city leads along the Torrens River and its so bushy you can't believe you are in a city...

Suddenly we came to this and we didn't know what it was, there were no rails for a metro or train, just concrete channels.....

and then we saw it.....

some more obstacles to take.......

and then we were in the city at the market (we did the market an other day then the big ride day)......

Were fruit is on a market are vegetables and lettuce and sorry but I can't stop talking about Kangaroo Island so here again is a little story;

You most probable can remember from my lettuce story that we also put three sorts of herbs in it and here we see rocket as a herb, not a lettuce. We were picking lettuce in the dark with just a one full light on our hand and tubs. In the mean time David, and I still don't know how he did it complete in the darkness, was picking herbs to put in the tub and mix it in with the lettuce in the bag. I could smell the rocket from far distance when he cut it and I just loved it. It's my favourite lettuce/herb.

Now, on the mainland in Adelaide I bought a bag Rockets at Woolies and, my god, when I opened the package I smelled nothing, I squeezed it and smelled nothing, I cut it and smelled nothing, I still decided to use it and was sorry afterwards, we didn't taste anything....

I found this very funny and a very good idea.....
So there were people sitting there who had bought some nice cheese from another stall and some bread elsewhere and having a glass of wine with it....

An then we came to the beach, very beautiful coast with clear calm water......

On our way back Fred wanted to walk over this little bridge, we had passed it several times but now he wanted to see if it was sooo scary I thought it would be.....

I even tried it, it was a bit wobbly though....

Nearly back at the caravan park, pfffff;

back to enjoy this view; very different of what we were used to.....

and then this duck came to comfort us as he knew we missed The Daltons.....

That's it for now folks, we are getting very excited, I already packed one bag haha, bit early but that's better then too late!

I've got one more small story before the big Take Off so till then!!

Cheers!
