Dunsborough, Meelup Beach, Cape Naturaliste,

G'day Mates,

I hear you thinking; "we've seen this title before" and yes you are right but, this is a totally different story as this is with Danny, the previous one was with Sheila, and now we did different things.

For instance, Meelup Beach, now the weather was very windy so then you get a total different ocean look;

Movie time;

At Cape Naturaliste we walked a short bit of the Cape to Cape trail, our walk is 7 k's return and went from the Lighthouse to Sugar Loaf Rock.

The Cape to Cape walk itself is 140 kilometre and traverses along the ridge and beaches of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park following the coast from Cape Naturaliste, Dunsborough to Cape Leeuwin, Augusta.

The walk takes in amazing views of sea and landscapes including wildflowers in spring and the stunning Indian Ocean.

What are they looking for?

Something is hiding under a rock....better leave it Danny as Australia isn't the country to grab under rocks.....

Was he bitten....?

Of course we had our lunch with us....

Ever heard of a Moaning Frog?

This one is singing, the one what was hiding in the ground in the outside shower of our holiday house, was moaning whole night and keeping Danny awake because his bedroom was next to it. Crikey, what a noise they make!

The moaning frog is native to the coast of south-western Western Australia. It inhabits sandy swamps, where it burrows for protection from predators.
The males call from under the ground....

Look at the little bastard, they are soo small you wouldn't believe the noise they produce!

Being in the south, Busselton and especially the Jetty, is always on the "to do" list....

The, in the mean time our favourite; "Dunsborough to Meelup Beach track....

and our favourite lunch spot.....

Suddenly we saw something beautiful in the sky....

where the sun was shining through the clouds a whole spectacle of colours appeared....

Isn't it a nice picture to end with.....

see you soon...

Cheers

Party time!! Lots in one blog

G'day Mates,

Back from the Gold Fields I have to tell you that it was an adventure again but that later! Actually I promised you to continue writing stories during gold digging but the Internet was so bad there I couldn't even download a picture, I apologize for this delay.

Anyhow, I'm going to continue with the period that Sheila was here and that's March/April, so lets go back in time.....

Everything we did we had fun together, here we still are in Dunsborough and from there we did a trip to the Karri Forest area and we drove the Boranup drive which wasn't really a success as our car banged up and down and you know our history with this kind of roads....

Besides the banging I must admit the drive was very nice, amazing to see these giant trees! At the end there was an outlook which was great and we had a nice lunch ......

Unfortunately I don't have pictures of these trees so here is a link if you want to know more about it;

http://www.westernaustralia-travellersguide.com/karri-forests.html

Back in Dunsborough we had a walk along the beach.....

And then Busselton, very nice "little" town with a beaut of a Jetty! I know you've seen this Jetty before in my blogs but it keeps fascinating.....

minding his/her own business.....

The Jetty train which you can take to the Underwater Observatory on the end of the Jetty....

The very end of the Jetty....

We did some shopping in Busselton and found out that the old fire station was turned into a Bar/Restaurant....

On our second last day we stayed in Dunsborough on the beach, it was so lovely that we cancelled our plan to go to the Bootleg Brewery.....

The water was just amazing quiet.....

Our last day in Dunsborough, before cleaning the house and our journey back we needed something decent in our stomach....

And then.....3 rd of April, Hubby's birthday, we have a big project today so we start with .....

presents....

Champie breakfast.....

A trip to Perth City, Elizabeth Quay....

Locks at the Bell Tower....

Some tree!!  "hidden" in the Stirling Gardens....  Crikey!!

AND, we went to the Mint, aaahhhh that was very interesting....

No, that's not fake, its real.....

Hope to found something like this one day....
(keep on dreaming)

We had a demonstration of melting gold.....

pouring it in a mold.....

after cooling it down you get this.....

Sheila wanted a souvenir so she had a coin stamped....

After this exciting moment we had to cool down ourselves so we went to a brewery in Northbridge and had a nice beer.....

Fred got happy birthday wishes from the Grand kids.....

We also had a lovely meal at a Thai Restaurant...

On our way back in the train.....

Fred had family from The Netherlands on the phone and we had so much fun that we were too late to open the door on the right side of the train to get out at our station so we had to get out at the next station.....

After hearing that the next train back would come in about half an hour, a very nice man offered us to bring us back to Kwinana station where we had the car parked. Amazing isn't it? It was already after twelve!!

Knowing there a still good people on this earth, I can go to sleep with a peace of mind....

Cheers!
