A short update; Crikey, that's life!!

G'day mates,

Despite the fact that we had a real good time in WA, we've spent a whole year there, seen a lot of things, had some great adventures, lived for 8 month in a proper house so we could enjoy the visits of our kids, we enjoyed the company of our dear friends who we miss heaps as well as the doggies, but as you know us, we also are very happy travelling again.

We just spent 7 weeks in the goldfields, of which you will get the story later as that takes a lot of work and of course proper Internet which we don't have at the moment. We are on our way to our next house sitting which is in the Barossa Valley, YES wine region, so we are looking forward to that!

We left WA and the Nullarbor behind and are in SA now. The trip has been OK so far and when you see next pictures, you know why we love travelling so much.

A great ocean view.....

At a free camp on the Nullarbor....

Suddenly I noticed the main thing what life is all about, has been written on our caravan the whole time.....

Good night, sleep tight, see ya next time......

We miss our beloved Fremantle!

G'day Mates,

Our outback tour is nearly finishes, we are in Kalgoorlie and it's pouring so here I am again. My story today will be of Fremantle and I really mean the content of the title, I know I already had a few stories about Fremantle but just come with me, and I show you again some new parts.

We sometimes went with the bus and we loved doing that as a thing what amazed us were the bus stops,  look at a few of them....

The bus stop at Monument Hill Memorial Reserve...

This hill is definitely worth a visit as you'll have great views from there.....

The Fallen Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial is designed so that at dawn 1914 is illuminated, and at sunset 1919 is illuminated, alluding to a line in the "Ode of Remembrance": "At the going down of the sun and in the morning/We will remember them".

Perth in the distance....

View towards Harbour...

A real SUBMARINE......

Bus stop at the Fremantle Prison....

Fremantle Prison, sometimes referred to as Fremantle Gaol or Fremantle Jail, is a former Australian prison and World Heritage Site in Fremantle, Western Australia. The six-hectare (15-acre) site includes the prison cellblocks, gatehouse, perimeter walls, cottages, and tunnels.

worth a visit and there are several tours you can do....

The Freo Park was one of our favourite spots do have our lunch, just sitting there enjoying the world go by....

Kakulas sisters were one of our favourite stores......

especially the little sister with the cheese section.......

we always bought Fred's favourite cheese; Leyden.....

when we wanted to spoil ourselves, we went to Kailis for fish and chips accompanied with a bottle of wine and watch the sea gulls harass the customers.....

Yes, we miss Fremantle.......

Till next time, see ya then....

Cheers!
