Goodbye and Hello......

G'day Mates!

As the title of this story presumes; these are the last days with Sheila and the first with Danny, the scenery will be Rockingham Beach and Fremantle!

Feeling the last hours together are approaching silently......

it's time to grab our stuff and go home.....

One last look at the beautiful Rockingham Beach so the memories will stay forever....

a lonely figure passes......

love is all around....

now it's really time......

and still we can't say goodbye to the beach....

What a beautiful sunset......

The last day we decided to go to our beloved Fremantle, having a last drink together at Little Creatures. Tonight Sheila is flying home.....

and then it's time.....

But we had a marvellous time together on which we can look back with much joy;

Where we ended with Sheila, we start with Danny. He came two weeks later after Sheila had left so we had 2 weeks to reorganise things.......

Fremantle, here we come again.....

Little Creatures is always in our schedule....

as is a lunch at Kailis.......

After lunch we walked a bit along the coast and stranded at a wedding on the beach. The funny part was that all the guests were asked to take off their shoes ......

What a beauty......

A great view over the Fremantle beach from the Round House....

a little history about the Round House;

The Roundhouse is the oldest public building in the State of Western Australia. Opened in January 1831, just 18 months after settlement, it was built to hold any person convicted of a crime in the settlement and was used until 1886.

Now the area is often used for wedding pictures.....

In the back you can see the round house......

OK guys, this is it for the moment.
Of course I'm far from finished with the adventures we had with Danny and there are a few great ones again so keep on looking....

For now, I say
Cheers!

Party time!! Lots in one blog

G'day Mates,

Back from the Gold Fields I have to tell you that it was an adventure again but that later! Actually I promised you to continue writing stories during gold digging but the Internet was so bad there I couldn't even download a picture, I apologize for this delay.

Anyhow, I'm going to continue with the period that Sheila was here and that's March/April, so lets go back in time.....

Everything we did we had fun together, here we still are in Dunsborough and from there we did a trip to the Karri Forest area and we drove the Boranup drive which wasn't really a success as our car banged up and down and you know our history with this kind of roads....

Besides the banging I must admit the drive was very nice, amazing to see these giant trees! At the end there was an outlook which was great and we had a nice lunch ......

Unfortunately I don't have pictures of these trees so here is a link if you want to know more about it;

http://www.westernaustralia-travellersguide.com/karri-forests.html

Back in Dunsborough we had a walk along the beach.....

And then Busselton, very nice "little" town with a beaut of a Jetty! I know you've seen this Jetty before in my blogs but it keeps fascinating.....

minding his/her own business.....

The Jetty train which you can take to the Underwater Observatory on the end of the Jetty....

The very end of the Jetty....

We did some shopping in Busselton and found out that the old fire station was turned into a Bar/Restaurant....

On our second last day we stayed in Dunsborough on the beach, it was so lovely that we cancelled our plan to go to the Bootleg Brewery.....

The water was just amazing quiet.....

Our last day in Dunsborough, before cleaning the house and our journey back we needed something decent in our stomach....

And then.....3 rd of April, Hubby's birthday, we have a big project today so we start with .....

presents....

Champie breakfast.....

A trip to Perth City, Elizabeth Quay....

Locks at the Bell Tower....

Some tree!!  "hidden" in the Stirling Gardens....  Crikey!!

AND, we went to the Mint, aaahhhh that was very interesting....

No, that's not fake, its real.....

Hope to found something like this one day....
(keep on dreaming)

We had a demonstration of melting gold.....

pouring it in a mold.....

after cooling it down you get this.....

Sheila wanted a souvenir so she had a coin stamped....

After this exciting moment we had to cool down ourselves so we went to a brewery in Northbridge and had a nice beer.....

Fred got happy birthday wishes from the Grand kids.....

We also had a lovely meal at a Thai Restaurant...

On our way back in the train.....

Fred had family from The Netherlands on the phone and we had so much fun that we were too late to open the door on the right side of the train to get out at our station so we had to get out at the next station.....

After hearing that the next train back would come in about half an hour, a very nice man offered us to bring us back to Kwinana station where we had the car parked. Amazing isn't it? It was already after twelve!!

Knowing there a still good people on this earth, I can go to sleep with a peace of mind....

Cheers!
