Tulips, Tulips, Tulips

G'day Mates,
We are already a few weeks back in Australia and of course our adventures continue over here. We have done a lot of things already and there are a lot of things still to be happen.

We have been to the Tesselaar Tulip festival a few weeks ago (haha as if we don't have Tulips in Holland) which were held this year from 11 September till the 7th of October.

The festival of tulips, which is being held since 1954, is set on a 55 acres land in Silvan, located in the Dandenong Ranges, a convenient distance from Melbourne and the surrounding areas, and is open daily from 10 am to 5pm during the festival dates.

The festival is frequented not only by the locals but by interstate and international visitors as well, as they are enchanted by the beauty of these blossoms.

There are different themes which include Turkish, Irish, Jazz, Wine and Dutch on the weekends. Special weekday activities for seniors, and for children during school holidays will be organised. We have been to the Jazz/Wine theme so also live entertainment, fresh food stalls,

Movie time;

Aaaah, tired of the music??

There is a sculpture exhibition amongst the tulip beds as well, created by artists from around Australia.

 Tractor rides and more to do or see, such as the Dutch cultural displays, tulip bulbs available for purchase, lots of photo opportunities, this festival is not to be missed.

Last but not least, just enjoy these beautiful flowers.......

So remember for next year;

Tesselaar Tulips Festival......

Cheers, see ya!
