Deventer op stelten (on stilts)

G'day Mates,

Hope you did like my last story about The Hague?

Now I have a little story of another sisters day. About two weeks ago my sister and I went to Deventer which is a city not too far from us. That day they had a festivity which called; "Deventer op stelten" which means; Deventer on stilts.....

Very tough to walk on stilts between the people....

Unfortunately we only have seen these people on stilts, there must have been more but because this festivity was three days, I assume there have been more on the other days.....

I think the theme this time was umbrella as the whole city was decorated with umbrella's....

Could it have something to do with RAIN??

Here a little in between what happened to us some days ago, talking about rain;

OK, back to Deventer.....

Luckily we didn't had rain that day, the weather was just lovely....

here we had a little lunch, it had a very strange setting; in a courtyard and everything you could see was a bit shoddy....  

with Indian scarves as table cloths, but it was very nice....

Look at these bike racks.....

This is fashion in the Netherlands....

When we came to the bus station to go back home, we found out that the bus had just left and so we had to wait another hour for the next one...

But no worries, we heard music somewhere and we saw people walking between the bike racks through a little path and we followed them........

Man! Did we had a ball that hour!

Enjoying the music with a glass of wine.....

Finally going home with the bus, we give you these smiles for free!!
