Busselton

G'day Mates,

After Lucky Bay we went a bit in a hurry to Perth. In between we did go to a few caravan parks and some free camps....

Skippy's at night.....

but also during daylight on the road....

Movie time;

Then we got to Busselton. We have been there before, they have a huge caravan park nearly in the town centre and on the coast. I had tried to book that to go there with Sheila (our daughter) during Easter but unfortunately it was fully booked but now they had some spots free.

Busselton;

The old Court House

We spent three nights in Busselton and again it was lovely. We even went to a little museum in which there also was a small goal;

The cells were totally from wood...

Extending 1.8 kilometres across stunning Geographe Bay, the heritage listed Busselton Jetty is the longest  timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. A must see for any visitor to the Margaret River Wine Region.;

 At the end is a spectacular Underwater Observatory 8 metres below the water’s surface where you can discover some of the 300 different marine species below the jetty and if you can't walk all the way down, you can take the train....

 Like Esperance they made a lot of effort about the coastline and they had a great bike path were we, Dutchies, of course immediately took advantage of.

Movie time;

Of course having our lunch at a great spot....

and sometimes you run into beautiful things like this tree;

Isn't he amazing!!

OK Perth, we're coming. In my next story you will see three actors in stead of two!!

See ya then, Cheers!

Lucky Bay

G'day mates!

Curious about Paradise on Earth?

This is "Lucky Bay", just 59 k's out of Esperance, in Cape Le Grand National Park....

There are e few camp sites and you have to be early otherwise they are booked out. We arrived at 9.45 and there were just about 4 spots left and we saw cars coming after us so I assume they were fully booked within half an hour after our arrival.

What a place!! If there meant to be a paradise, this must be it! We have stayed 4 days, no phone, no Internet, just nature, wildlife, white beach, blue sea, us and fellow campers.

But not only the beach is beautiful, also the surrounding....

Relax, relax......
Kangaroos were everywhere, they even came to your table if they just would have the slightest idea that you had some food hidden somewhere.

We did a walk to Thistle Cove which was one of the most beautiful walks we ever did, just look at this....

Who put that rock there?

Doesn't it look like a Christmas Tree?

This is Thistle Cove

Movie time;

On our way back we walked into some animals....;

The animal is in the front haha!!

On this spot we had our lunch! Couldn't be better hey!!

We also walked along the beach to where a viewing platform suppose to be and yes, it was there but they were painting it and so we couldn't go on it. But a bit further we discovers a very little beach were we had our lunch ( yes again).

At some stage we even thought to be in Austria haha, the sand had the same colour as the snow and even the same sound, the squeaking under our feet sounded and felt the same as on the Austria pistes except for the weather!

Movie time;

See ya next time

Cheers!

Beautiful Esperance!

G'day Mates,

Our next stop was Esperance and was only approx. 150 k's so we got there early.

We have been there nine years ago and we could remember that time, when we had just left Esperance they had a terrible storm which had caused a lot of damage to the coast. During our walk through Esperance we noticed a whole new esplanade and also along that esplanade a whole line with new houses so we reckon that part was damaged and rebuild.

What a lovely and beautiful little town is this, look at the great esplanade,

Of course you can find on this esplanade the usual Australian facilities like free toilets, always clean and provided with toilet paper.......

free electric barbecues.....

picnic tables at the most beautiful spots.....

a nice statue

Beautiful flowers everywhere;

A little history.....

Also the jetty is great and look at this surprise we got...

Sea Lion and Sea Gull fighting for the fish leftovers ..... (guess who won)

Its Movie time;

The surroundings are also astonishing and we drove the Great Ocean Drive, not to be mixed up with "the Great Ocean Road" in Victoria!
Just enjoy these amazing views!!

Movie time;

Of course you all must know us in the mean time, we had our lunch with us and thus we had our lunch at a great spot....

And if you think it cannot get any better, just check out my next story.....

Curious??   Be patient.....

Cheers!
