Horses, Cats, RAT! Second House sit on the farm !!

G'day mates,

After Launceston we headed to our second house sitting of 4 weeks and it's always exciting because you never know in what situation you get. Coming closer we could see that the surrounding was beautiful and that we wouldn't be bored the coming weeks.

Close to Caveside...

Coming at the house our car got a nice spot with a great view....

Some more impressions of the surroundings....

The paddock with the horses.....

Front of the house.....

The Veggie garden....

Lovely little shed....

The view....

Did you notice the blue sky? Of all the 4 weeks I think we only had one day with some rain and as you could see, sometimes we had some fog in the morning.

There are caves close by like Marakoopa and King Solomons but Hubby don't like caves so we haven't been visiting them. There are nice towns as well and one of them is Sheffield which is famous for its Murals, there are Gorges, great walks, mountains etc etc.

Curious?? Come with us and see for yourself......

A day tour; we drove via Mole Creek and Paradise (it sounds more then it is, but maybe I'm wrong, should ask the inhabitants) to Sheffield and besides that it is a true ancient little town.......

(You should see this shop, My God, every thing old fashion you can find in there!)

they also have, as I told you, great Murals .......

Of course there were even more but I think I got the nicest ones.

An other day we did the walk to Alum Cliffs Gorge which gave us a spectacular scenery....

It took awhile before I dared to go so close to the edge to take this picture...

We ended up in Deloraine which also is a very nice little town and only about 25 k's from us....

of course we found another great spot for our Lunch...

Cruising back home we came along these scenery's......

Did you noticed I can't get enough of the view, Tassie really is beautiful!

You all must have been thinking; "I thought they were doing a house sit, then where are the animals?" OK, here they come; There were three horses; Robby, Vequero and Tia and four cats; Red, Jenella, Pumpkin and Biscuit.

This is Vequero...

Pumpkin, always stayed in side, didn't dare to go outside as the big Red was out there somewhere, and he was the enemy for all other cats except Jenella....

The Big Red; actually he was one of the sweetest cats we ever looked after for, he always came with us when we nurtured the horses but he was a terrorist for Pumpkin and Biscuit (the latter of whom I don't have a picture, sorry for that).

Brrrrrrr, its good there is glass in between....

Jenella, the only one who could handle Red!

This was the House sit with the most work we had till now. Every morning the cats had to be fed and the litter tray cleaned (even a few times a day). The horses had to be fed with hay and the poo had to be collected at a few spots in the paddock.

Feeding was my work but I also had to put sunscreen on the nose of Vequero and Robby and when there were a lot of flies, they needed a fly net.....

Fred had the Shit Job....

Three horses poo a whole lot! It took him three quarter till an hour to pick up the shi.....

And that twice a day as in the evening we had to do the same ritual again. Every second day the horses had to have a special dinner with minerals and other stuff and all three had different supplements.....

They really loved it and actually so much that we had to separate them otherwise they would fight for the last bit from each other......

No worries the work! We really enjoyed it, besides that, we did great trips of which more in my next stories AND we had time to relax as well.....

Red loved Fred so much, he left him a RAT in his (Red's) room, unfortunately I was the one who fed him!! 😨😨

Till next time!
Cheers!!
