The continuing story of Bertram; Beach walks

G'day Mates,

The suburb Bertram itself is not a real attraction haha but the surroundings, and then I mean especially the beaches, are breathtaking. The beaches at Rockingham which is only approx. 12 k's from Bertram are very nice and worth going for a walk;

Safety Bay; (shire of Rockingham)

Often there are a lot of activities, especially in the weekends!

Bit windy, watch your hat!

Watching the world go by....

Rockingham beach;

Warnbro Beach....

(in the distance you can see Mandurah when its very clear)

The other side you can see as far as Penguin Island

And at the back you look towards the Perth Hills....

Walking from Scarborough towards Hillarys, North of Perth, first section we follow the beach, ......

Its a good beach for surfers....

Passing Trigg Beach....

then we follow the West Coast Drive....

Crikey, what do we see here? Never seen this in The Netherlands were there are more bikes then people haha!

What a shame we don't have anything to repair.....

The coastline here is beautiful and the walk is just fantastic......

The picnic spots are terrific....

I have to tell you this; while we were having our lunch here, we saw left from us, down there in the sea, some guys hanging in the water on their surfboard waiting for a big wave to surf on. On the right side, approx. 300 mtr from the shore, we saw a black fin gliding through the water.....

because we have seen so many dolphins by now and know how they swim, we definitely knew this was a shark!
We followed it till we couldn't see it anymore, luckily for the guys it went off shore....

Who doesn't want to barbecue here???

This funny guy, a blue tongue lizard, didn't like us being on his path....

and he showed it, trying to scare us off......

Sea, ocean, rivers, ponds etc, it is and stays fascinating....

Will there ever come a time that we have to miss this....
My God, I hope not but I'm afraid its inevitable...

Cheers!

What have we done in Bertram.....

G'day Mates,

As you know we sadly had to say goodbye to our house sitting address after more then 8 months. But because we bear great memories we want to share with you what we have done all these months and you also know us a bit in the mean time, we are adventures so we have some things to show you.

I can already inform you, it is soo much, I have to divide it into more then one story, here is the first one;

"Our" House...

Also our little house on wheels had a great spot....

We had a great Christmas time...
(for the whole Christmas story you can go to; http://torn-between-two-lovers.blogspot.com.au/2017/01/christmas-and-new-years-eve-in-australia.html)

We often enjoyed beautiful skies....

We had to keep an old timer going.....

That was hilarious, in the beginning we went to the shops with it but because it was such a cute little car I was afraid someone would steel it so I wasn't really relaxed during shopping.....

After a while Fred only let it running regularly because we noticed the breaks didn't work well so we didn't dare to drive it anymore......

Repairing things also was a kill-time issue....

Cooking; is making a mess first .....

I loved having a proper kitchen.....

and eating it all........

BBQ-ing, especially the lovely Sunday morning brekkies.....

and cleaning the BBQ afterwards......

Growing my own herbs and lettuce (which not really was a success).....

Maintenance/repairing on/of the caravan.....

Working in the garden....

BUT......

We also relaxed....

This story is a roller-coaster of emotions for me, I relive everything at new which of course is quite fun, nice , good, great memories.....

There is much more to come people so keep an eye on my blog....

Cheers.
