Have you seen my last story?? We working our butts off haha! Well we are finished and really had a good time with the family. Just want to show you the result;
After that we went to the Showgrounds in Beaconsfield which always feels a bit like coming home. We have several "homes" actually in Victoria; Warragul, Newborough, Berwick, Patterson Lakes and Beaconsfield, aren't we lucky!! Unfortunately the real home in The Netherlands is also still there!
Anyhow, now we are back in Victoria we of course do the things we like doing so much such as going to the Dandenong market and to Melbourne.
The Dandenong market is such a great pleasure as the prices are very cheap and there is so much variate of shops from all over the world. One big mixed multi cultural pot!

Tip;
Look at the fish, meat, fruit and vegetable stalls, take a sniff at the herbs and spices in the Indian, Turkish, Sri Lankian and a lot more, shops. Have a bite at one or two of the food stalls and try a different dish.
Buy some vegetables you've never tried before, get a recipe from the Internet to make it and fiddle around in your kitchen.
If you like garlic buy a sucuk hot if you like hot otherwise there is also a mild one.
You can eat it with your drink like that but you can also cook it. Don't eat it before you go to the dentist though, the guy/woman might faint.
And of course I can't leave the Dandenong Market without buying my favourite fruit; Mango!
And of course we went to Melbourne;
We have our special circuit we most of the time walk and always start at Flinders Street station,
then we walk through Swanston Street till Bourke street where there is always hustle and bustle,
he was really good!
Right at this moment there are the tennis games; The "Australian Open" and in Swanston Street we passed a special shop which had merchandise all about the tennis games.
There I found this T-Shirt and of course me being a big Mickey fan (my Mickey is packed in the container already for more than 7 years) I had to buy this;
Aaaah Melbourne, we love that City, specially on Saturdays as then there is a lot of street music.
Enjoy, it's movie time;
Leaving Bourke street with all the music behind us we go right into Elizabeth Street till we get to, yes! another market, the Victoria Market.
The tip is the same as for the Dandenong market but here is even a very nice deli section with fantastic cheeses, salamis, anti pastas etc etc. go for it we would say! Shame we didn't had time for that section this time, just made a quick picture for you.....
Most of the time we have our lunch here, either we buy something or we take it with us, depends on our financial situation.
We walk back to Swanston Street through Franklin street, turn right and then you pass the State Library with is also worth having a look.
We always stop for a rest, having a drink and watch the world go by.....
and after that we either walk back to Flinders Station or we go on the train at Melbourne Central station which is opposite the State Library.
On our way back with the train to Beaconsfield at one of the last stations 3 ticket inspectors came into the train and a guy behind us got caught because travelling without a ticket or didn't touch on his Myki card. His details were gathered and at the next station he had to go out.
When the inspectors came to us Fred asked how high the price is of the fine and she said $ 223.00 !!
Crikey, that's a lot! Few minutes later a girl was caught in front of us!
Quickly earned $ 446.00 for the government!
So mates, be careful and be wise, buy a ticket!
Cheers!
